Asbestos and asbestos-containing materials
The Occupational Safety and Health Law, which sets standards for the safety and health of workers, regulates asbestos and materials containing asbestos. Asbestos dust has caused mesothelioma and lung cancer in many workers.
In accordance with the Law, an import permit is required to import asbestos and asbestos-containing materials, and customs must obtain copies of import permits.
